Dignitaries from Bhutan, Norway and Philippines meet the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal today

The Governor of West Bengal hosted a meeting today with distinguished dignitaries from Bhutan, Norway and Philippines to discuss various issues, including avenues for enhanced cooperation between the countries.

The delegation from Bhutan was led by Mr. Younten Phuntsho, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture & Livestock, Royal Government of Bhutan, along with five other officials.

The Norwegian delegation included H.E. Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway, accompanied by Ms. Silje Christine Andersen, First Secretary and Ms. Nayantara Palchoudhuri, Secretary, Consul of Norway in Kolkata.

The delegation from Philippines included H.E. Mr. Josel Francisco Ignacio (Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines to India) accompanied by Mr. Eugenio C. Elevado, Jr. Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Philippines in Kolkata and five others.

During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities for strengthening bilateral ties in key sectors, fostering economic partnerships, and promoting cultural exchange. The Governor welcomed the dignitaries and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with commitments to further deepen cooperation and explore new avenues for engagement.
