Eastern Command Investiture Ceremony is being organised at Ranchi on 12 February 2025 to honour the Bravehearts, distinguished personnel and outstanding units of the Eastern Command at Dipatoli Military Station, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, GOC–in–C Eastern Command will confer the Gallantry and Distinguished Service awards to the recipients during the investiture ceremony.
39 awardees including 20 Sena Medals (Gallantry), 04 Sena Medals (Distinguished), 01 Bar To Sena Medal (Distinguished), 02 Yudh Seva Medals, 01 Bar To Vishisht Seva Medal and 11 Vishisht Seva Medals will be honoured. In addition, 45 Units will be awarded GOC-in-C, Eastern Command Unit appreciation.
The ceremony will be attended by Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Gangwar and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Hemant Soren.
A Cultural Concert “Shaurya Sanadhya” comprising of Martial Arts display, Fly-past by Helicopters, an Army Band Symphony Fusion performance and a Fireworks display will be conducted on 11 February 2025 as a precursor.The ceremony will be witnessed by the spouses and families of awardees as well as by senior dignitaries of the Indian Army and civil administration.
