The Indian Army is set to organize an Ex-Servicemen Rally at the Lebong Military Station, Darjeeling, on March 17, 2025. This initiative aims to honor and engage with the ex-servicemen of the region who have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation.
The event will be attended by senior military officers and representatives from various ex-servicemen welfare organizations. It will provide a valuable platform for veterans to reconnect, discuss welfare initiatives, and address grievances related to pensions, healthcare services, and resettlement.
As part of the rally, several welfare and outreach programs will be organized, including:
• A medical camp under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS)
• Pension and grievance redressal sessions
• Resettlement and employment assistance through the Army Welfare Placement Organization (AWPO)
• Awareness programs on government welfare schemes for ex-servicemen and their families
This initiative reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to the welfare of its veterans, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the nation.
All ex-servicemen and their families from the Darjeeling region are invited to attend and benefit from the assistance services provided at the rally.
