EX-SERVICEMEN RE-UNION RALLY, MIRZA HELD ON 23RD MARCH 2025 IN THE PREMISES OF JAHNABI BHAWAN, MIRZA

An ESM re-union rally of ESM Association, Mirza was held on 23rd March 2025 in the premises of Jahnavi Bhawan, Mirza to address the grievances related to Pension, banking and documentation issues under one roof. The rally was attended by 68 ESM, 49 Widows, 04 Disabled ESM/ Dependent and 121 Wives/ Dependents of ESM.

The ESM rally was presided over by Ex Sub Sudhana Chandra Kalita, President, ESM Association, Mirza.

Col PN Giri (Retd.), Welfare Officer of Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam as Chief Guest, Group Captain M Das, C.A.D.O. and Fly Officer Aishwarya, Adjutant 19 Wing as Guest of Honour with other retired Senior Officers from Armed Forces and serving civil dignitaries also attended the rally. Staff of Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Kamrup (M) attended the rally to ensure all types of requirements of the ESM community are attended to in situ.

Ex Sgt Bhadreswar Das, Member, Ex-Servicemen Association, Mirza welcomed all distinguished guests, Veer Naris, Ex-Servicemen & their dependents and thereafter proceedings commenced.

Ex Naib Subedar Nabin Singh, UDA and Ex Hav Troilokya Kr Kakati,LDA, Representatives of Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Kamrup (M) in their interaction covered the following aspects.
(a)Re-settlement & Re-habilitation of Ex-servicemen.
(b) Welfare schemes provided by Kendriya Sainik Board, New Delhi & Rajya Sainik Borad, Assam
(c) Welfare Schemes provided by Government of Assam.
(d) SPARSH alongwith pension related grievances.
(e) ECHS related issues.
(f) Reservation of Seats in Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges.
(g) Reservation of 2% vacancies in Group A,B,C and D of Assam Govt recruitment.
In addition to the above, Ex-Servicemen community were apprised about Governor Assam “Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojana” a sensitization initiative of Hon’ble Governor of Assam in partnership with Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam.

Chief Guest Col PN Giri addressed the rally on behalf of the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam. He congratulated ESM Association, Mirza and conveyed gratitude to the veterans and their families for their sacrifice and services to the nation and urged them to continue contributing towards social and nation building through their engagement with serving personnel and civil administration. In his talk, he also assured expeditious redressal of their grievances/issues and reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Rajya Sainik Board to the welfare and well-being of Ex-Servicemen community.

Group Captain M Das thanked President, ESM Association, Mirza for the honour and invitation on behalf of 19 Wing, Air Force Station, Borjhar. He highlighted the 19 Wing, Air Force Station’s continued support for ex-servicemen and reiterated that such occasions serve to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and its veteran community.

In recognition of their sacrifice and service Veer Naris, Orphan & Disabled dependent and eminent veterans were felicitated during the rally.
