INDIAN ARMY FELICITATES SIX YOUTH OF MANIPUR SELECTED IN RVC CENTRE & COLLEGE, MEERUT

Indian Army conducted a training camp for the youth of Manipur, endeavouring to join Remount Veterinary Corps Centre & College, Meerut.

Seven boys from Manipur, trained in the camp appeared in the final selection round at Meerut, out of which six boys have been selected to join the esteemed Boys Sports Company at Meerut.

A ceremony was held on 28 March 2025 by the Indian Army for the selected candidates in presence of their families to felicitate and honour the achievements of these boys.

During the ceremony, Indian Army also handed over 200 Microchips and two Microchip Readers to Manipur Horse Riding & Polo Association (MHRPA). These microchips and readers which will help them in tracking/ identifying Manipuri ponies, a traditional Indian breed of small horses. Besides identification, these chips shall assist the MHRPA in keeping history, medical records, breeding records, in insurance of ponies, etc.

The noble initiative to facilitate training and guidance to the youth by Indian Army highlights dedicated efforts of the Security Forces to empower, bring hope, resilience and opportunity to the state’s youth and overall development of Manipur.

Indian Army is also committed in conservation of Manipuri ponies thus contributing in preservation of ecology and indigenous species of Manipur.
