TUSKER’S MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION COMMEMORATES 250 GLORIOUS YEARS OF THE ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS (1775-2025)

On the historic occasion of the 250th Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Day, a Motorcycle Expedition has been organised by 222 ABOD, under the aegis of 51 Sub Area and HQ Eastern Command (Ord).

This awe-inspiring journey, beginning from Narangi Cantonment and culminating at Delhi Cantonment, a tribute to the indomitable spirit, adaptability and strength of the AOC, which has been the backbone of the Indian Army’s logistics for two and a half centuries.

A dedicated team of eight motorcyclists set forth on this adventurous expedition, are covering 2,200 km across diverse terrains. The expedition will traverse through key military stations, including Binnaguri, Bengdubi, Danapur, Rewa, Jhansi, Bharatpur, and Mathura, symbolizing the resilience and unwavering grit of the armed forces.

Starting from Narangi Cantonment, Guwahati, the team reached Bengdubi and adding to the grandeur of the expedition, Brigadier Rajeev S Nair, Dy GOC, 111 Sub Area flagged off the motorcycle expedition from Bengdubi Military Station on 30th March 2025 for further journey, amplifying the spirit of this remarkable journey.

Beyond the thrill of the ride, the expedition embodies a deeper purpose ie Felicitation of Veer Naris and War Veterans l acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to the nation, Engaging with NCC cadets and students, inspiring them to pursue a career in the Indian Army, upholding its legacy of service and honor and Spreading awareness about the Army Ordnance Corps emphasizing its pivotal role in modern military logistics and its constant evolution since 1775.

As these riders navigate through India’s vast landscapes, they carry with them the stories of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism, reflecting the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army and the Army Ordnance Corps.This journey is not just about covering miles, it is about celebrating 250 years of excellence in logistics, innovation and steadfast support to the Indian Army.

With every rev of their engines, they echo the transformation and triumph of the Army Ordnance Corps with its motto Shastra to Shakti!
