JKESL is the largest and oldest Govt recognized body since 1951 which is engaged in the welfare of the Veterans, Veer Naris and serving soldiers of J&K. Brigadier Ghansara Singh, RB, OBE,OBI was the founder of this organization in 1951.It has more than 22,000 members as on date.
JKESL members comprising of Colonel Rajinder Singh, General Secretary & Lieutenant Colonel OS Chouhan, Secretary JKESL under the leadership of Lieutenant General Rakesh Kumar Sharma,(Retd) President, J&K Ex-services league called on Major General Anupinder Bevli, ADG NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh on 03 Apr at the office premises in Jammu.
During the meeting the major issues concerning JKESL were projected and explained to the ADG. The issues projected before the ADG NCC included maximum participation of NCC Cadets in the various functions organized by JKESL viz Martyrdom Day and Birth anniversary of our great heroes like General Zorawar Singh, “the Napoleon of India” and Brig Rajinder Singh, the “Saviour of Kashmir”, Sharing of training programme of NCC Cadets with JKESL and conduct of motivational lectures by the war decorated soldiers based on personal experience to be organized by JKESL.
The ADG NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, was extremely positive and assured of all the assistance possible to the JKESL.
