In a continued effort to strengthen bonds with local communities and provide essential services, the Assam Rifles organised a community outreach program titled “A Day with Company Commander” at the Assam Rifles location in Lilong on 17 April 2025. The event witnessed the participation of 46 individuals from the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) relief camp at Urup Arapti, Thoubal District.
The day’s activities comprised of a series of engaging events designed to kindle camaraderie and uplift community spirit. Attendees participated in various fun-filled games, promoting teamwork and providing a joyful respite from daily challenges.
A significant highlight of the event was the organisation of a medical camp offering free health check-ups and consultations. This initiative aimed to address immediate healthcare needs and reinforce the Assam Rifles’ commitment to the well-being of the local populace.
The program further enhanced the sense of unity and shared purpose among participants.
