Acting on specific intelligence of presence of Illegal Areca Nuts in general area Ngur, Champhai, Assam Rifles and Customs Preventive Force, Champhai launched an Area Domination Patrol towards Ngur village on 23 April 2025. During the operation, 353 bags of illegal Areca nuts were detected dumped and hidden in a jungle shelter. The recovered items have been handed over to Customs Preventive Force, Champhai.
