Acting on specific intelligence of movement of Heroin No 4 in general area New Champhai, Champhai, representatives of Assam Rifles and Excise & Narcotics Dept, Champhai launched an Area Domination Patrol towards New Champhai village on 19 May 2025. During the operation 11 hongs of heroin No 4 were seized. The recovered narcotics have been handed over to Excise & Narcotics Dept, Champhai.
ASSAM RIFLES RECOVERED ILLEGAL ARECA NUT FROM MIZORAM
Acting on specific intelligence of movement of illegal Areca Nuts in general area Chhungte, Champhai, Assam Rifles and Customs Preventive Force, Champhai launched an Area Domination Patrol towards Chhungte village on 19 May 2025. During the operation 327 bags of illegal Areca nuts were detected dumped and hidden in the jungle. The recovered contrband have been handed over to Customs Preventive Force, Champhai.
