Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth Rs 26,000 crore from Bikaner, Rajasthan today. Emphasising India’s continuous efforts to modernise its Railway network, PM pointed out the significant infrastructure advancements over the past 11 years, including modernization of more than 1,300 railway stations is being carried out to improve passenger experience significantly.
PM has dedicated 103 Amrit Bharat Station today to the Nation of 18 states today through video conferencing, one of which was Kalyani Ghosh Para Station in Sealdah Division.
Kalyani Ghosh Para Station is now upgraded as World standard station with improved station building, Concourse, Circulating area & Facade. The entire station is now fully covered by shed. It’s now loaded with Single/double Face Train Information Boards, GPS Clock, Speaker, GPS Based outdoor True Colour LED Tower Clock etc. For Divyangjans – Two ramps, low height booking counter, Toilet & Water booths have been installed. A fully furnished waiting hall is also there with a small library.
PM has mentioned that, Amrit Bharat Station Scheme plays a pivotal role in achieving goal of modernizing world class Railway stations, loaded with improved modern amenities.
