Scenic Celebration of Yoga across the Hills of Darjeeling, Namchi, Gangtok, Doars of Bengal.Cadets of the National Cadet Corps from schools and colleges of Darjeeling, Sikkim and North Bengal participated with vibrant enthusiasm in a collective celebration of Yoga. “One Earth, One Health”. The town centres of Chowrasta, Darjeeling, MG Road Gangtok, Bhaichung Bhutia Stadium Namchi, Rajbari Palace Grounds Coochbehar, Alipurduar, Siliguri, Malda Balurghat were all alight and abuzz with the energy of Yoga participation led by the passionate boys & girl cadets of NCC! The special Yoga session saw massive participation by teachers, professionals and NCC Inspiring One and All , to commemorate, India’s Ancient cultural heritage of a healthy lifestyle. “Vive La International Day of Yoga celebration”.
After a successful summit of Mt Everest (Mt Sagarmatha) Cadet Pratima Rai of Darjeeling & Sikkim Group returned to her home in Ghoom Darjeeling yesterday afternoon. Alongwith her parents, she was warmly felicitated by fellow cadets of Darjeeling NCC as also local community members of her neighbourhood.

Young and proud NCC cadets of Kolkata B Group came together in perfect harmony to stretch and synchronise while commomerating lDOY2025. The month long celebration of Yoga was undertaken to spread awareness among locals involving street marches, visit to old age homes, sharing of informative pamphlets, engaging with underprivileged and finally culminated in a synchronised effort involving more than 3000 NCC cadets performing Yoga asana at iconic locations in Kolkata to include Victoria Memorial Hall, Princep Ghat and Belur Math. In this celebration of Yoga, NCC cadets reaffirm their commitment as young torch bearers of Nation building and community development .
More than 3500 NCC cadets from Kolkata Group ‘C’ participated in IDOY2025 embracing the theme of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” , which resonates with the unifying vision that India based its G20 presidency on “One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Cadets participated in the event right from the mouth of Bay of Bengal , Baikhali in South 24 Parganas as well at a number of iconic locations in Kolkata including Science City and Rabindra Sarobar towards promoting healthy living and balanced lifestyle.
