Assam Senior Men’s Team concludes international exposure tour in Namibia

The Assam Senior Men’s Team successfully concluded its international exposure tour in Windhoek, Namibia on 29th June 2025. The series of five- 50 over matches proved to be a valuable learning experience for the squad, with Assam registering two wins, while Namibia secured three wins.

The tour witnessed two standout performances, notably Ayushman Malakar’s exceptional bowling spell of 6 wickets for just 21 runs in the second One-Day match.

Additionally, Rishav Das was recognised as the Best Batter of the Series for his consistent contributions with the bat throughout the tour.

The Assam Cricket Association extends its heartfelt appreciation to Cricket Namibia for their warm hospitality and for hosting a competitive and enriching series. The camaraderie and high level of cricket played throughout the tour added immense value to the team’s international exposure.

Speaking on the occasion, ACA President  Taranga Gogoi stated, “This international tour has been a significant step in shaping the development of our players and preparing them for greater challenges on the global cricketing stage.”

ACA Secretary  Tridib Konwar added, “Such exposure tours are crucial in providing our players with the right platform to test their skills, adapt to diverse conditions, and build confidence. Konwar also extended special thanks to BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia for his continuous guidance and support in making this tour possible.”
