Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Shillong for a four-day visit to the State on a four-day visit to Meghalaya. Notably, during her visit, Meghalaya is set to unveil a series of transformative infrastructure and development projects as part of its bold push for economic growth, sustainable tourism, digital inclusion, and women’s empowerment.
As part of her visit, the Hon’ble Finance Minister will inaugurate the newly redeveloped Polo Shopping Complex in Shillong, in the presence of Conrad K Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
Tomorrow Sitharaman will attend a public event at the LARITI Auditorium in Shillong, where she will be joined by Shri Conrad K Sangma and other senior ministers of the State Government.
The Union Minister’s visit underscores the Centre’s continued support & firm belief towards Meghalaya’s developmental initiatives across key sectors.
