The 1 Assam Battalion NCC successfully organized the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 75 at Don Bosco School, Pan bazar, from 22nd July to 31st July 2025. The camp saw the active participation of over 450 cadets from various schools and colleges across Guwahati and adjoining areas, making it a vibrant platform for youth development and training.
The 10-day camp aimed to instill discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a sense of national responsibility amongst participating cadets. The camp was graced by the Group Commander, Brig. A.K. Borah, VSM whose visit served as a great motivation for all the cadets.
A host of diverse and enriching military training and co-curricular activities were conducted for the cadets over a span of 10 days that included weapon firing, map reading, drill, rescue operations training by 1 NDRF battalion team, tent pitching, SSB orientation by Nimbus Defence Academy and also a two day personality development capsule by NCC Exchange Participants association of India (EXPA).
During the Camp several competitions were organised amongst the cadets to promote competitive spirit. All the cadets showcased outstanding energy, spirit, and dedication throughout the camp. Cadet Tulika Das from B. Borooah College was adjudged best cadet amongst SD/SW wing and Cadet Debakgha Parashar from Don Bosco School, Panbazar was adjudged best cadet from the JD/JW wing. Amongst the colleges and schools B. Borooah College was awarded the overall best college trophy amongst senior division and Khetrihardia H. S School was awarded the best performing school amongst the junior division.
The camp concluded with a renewed sense of enthusiasm, camaraderie, and commitment to the NCC motto – “Unity and Discipline”. CATC 75 stood as a testament to the strength of youth when guided with purpose and patriotism.
