India is a secular nation where equal respect is accorded to all religions. Although Hinduism is the religion followed by the majority, since Independence the Government of India has consistently upheld and protected the spirit of secularism enshrined in our Constitution. This commitment to unity in diversity has remained a defining strength of our nation.
Today, 25th December, we celebrate the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ. Along with the rest of the world, India joins in commemorating the life and teachings of this holy Messiah, who symbolizes peace, love, compassion, good health, and prosperity. His message of forgiveness, service to humanity, and unconditional love continues to inspire people across faiths and cultures.
On this auspicious occasion, let us cherish and reaffirm the values of goodness, equality, and mutual respect.
Let us strive to pass on these ideals to future generations, reminding them that humanity is one family and that we are all children of God. By embracing harmony and understanding, we can work together to build a more peaceful, inclusive, and compassionate society.
