As a prelude to the Eastern Command Investiture Ceremony, a grand cultural evening titled “Shaurya Sandhya” was held on 09 February 2026 at Military Station Umroi. The event magnificently showcased India’s rich cultural heritage and spirit of valour through a vibrant array of performances, including Chenda Melam, Chhau Dance, North East Warrior Dance, tribal dances, a Brass Band Symphony, and captivating performances by renowned civilian dance troupes such as the Prince Group and Dancing Feet Group.
The evening was graced by Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, kEastern Command, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces, veterans, civilian dignitaries, Veer Naris, and proud families of the award recipients.
The atmosphere resonated with patriotism and pride—emotional, cinematic, and deeply inspiring—celebrating courage, unity, and the enduring cultural strength of India.
