GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY ORGANIZED FOR EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT AT CIVIL HOSPITAL LUNGLEI

Shri Kulothungan A, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei District 15th September kicked off the proposed Effluent Treatment Plant at Civil Hospital, Lunglei with a ground breaking ceremony in the presence of Civil Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr SR Ngurchamliana, Lunglei Additional DC Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) Superintendent Pu Bidyut Basumatary and other officials.

The proposed Effluent Treatment Plant is funded by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund of Rs. 17.61 lakhs from Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). The District had last year implemented 5 BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) Anganwadi Centres thrugh CSR Fund from CWC.

The Deputy Commissioner thanked Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) for their continued support to Lunglei District, and said that the proposed Effluent Treatment Plant is a much needed intervention for Civil Hospital Lunglei. He added that more plans are currently underway to augment the health infrastructure of Lunglei District, such as procurement of a much needed Blood Donation Van for the District. Under the Deputy Commissioner’s leadership, the District has so far received 4 Ambulances and other health equipments from last year.
