Along with Border security, BSF is always ready to help the Border residents. Such an example was set by the troops of the 70 Battalion BSF today.
The incident took place on 08th April’ 2023, in village Milik Sultanpur located in the area of 70 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. A pregnant woman namely Rojia Bibi (29 yrs) suddenly started having labor pain. Her husband namely Nurul Sheikh sought help from the company commander of Border Out Post Mahadipur. The company commander without any delay sent BSF ambulance along with a nursing assistant to house of pregnant woman. From there, the woman was evacuated to Eden Nursing home and Hospital (Malda) for treatment. The condition of the woman is out of danger.

The family members of the woman expressed their gratitude to the Border Security Force and said that if the BSF jawans had not helped at the right time, then something big could have happened.
The Commanding Officer of 70 Battalion stated that along with curbing the crimes on the border, the BSF always remains available for those residing on border in time of their happiness and sorrow, due to which a healthy and cordial relationship develops between the BSF and Border residents.
