77th Independence Day was celebrated jointly by Indian Army, Local Administration of Sonitpur District, Assam Police, Rangapara College & local population of Missamari, Rangapara & Balipara, Assam on 15 August 2023. The event was inaugurated by local military commander of Indian Army.
It was attended by more than 1200 personnel to include Army soldiers, ADM Sonitpur, 288 x lady commando recruits of Assam Police and staff & students of Rangapara College.
The event included display of modern war fighting weapons & equipments of Indian Army along with an enchanting & mesmerising ‘Musical & Cultural Fusion Saga’ jointly organised by Indian Army & Rangapara College.
Indian Army also motivated the youth by guiding them about various avenues for joining Indian Armed Forces as Officers & as Agniveers.
