Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised an interaction cum Mass Tree Plantation Drive at Shangshak village , Ukhrul District on 06th October 23.
The villagers participated in planting tree sapling and revitalising ecosystem.The Tree Plantation contributed towards promoting afforestation , creating clean and green environment thereby reducing impacts of global warming. A total of no of 600 saplings of varied trees were planted at Shangshak.
The event focussed upon imbibing the importance of trees and spreading awareness amongst the locals about harmful effects of cutting the trees and saving earth by planting more number of trees.
