ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS MEDICAL CAMP AT TEGNOUPAL AND CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICTS

In the wake of ongoing ethnic tensions, Assam Rifles took a humanitarian stride by organizing a medical camp at Lairam Khullen Village, Tengnoupal District, Manipur on 4th December.

This initiative aimed to provide crucial healthcare services to the residents of the remote village, who have been adversely affected by the recent unrest.

The medical camp, organised by the Assam Rifles, brought together a dedicated team of medical professionals and support staff. The camp offered a range of services, including general health check-ups, basic medical treatments, and distribution of essential medications. The team also focused on educating the community about hygiene practices and preventive healthcare measures.

Furthermore, a similar medical camp was conducted at village Hangsum of Churachandpur district on the same day. 15 villagers including 10 Men, 03 women and 02 Children were benefited from the said camp.

Despite the challenging circumstances surrounding the ethnic conflict, Assam Rifles demonstrated their commitment to the well-being of the local population. The medical camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also served as a beacon of hope in times of adversity.
