The Government of Tripura led by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma has the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) as a major ally.
Now, IPFT is to join Tipra Motha and other like-minded parties and raise their voice for a separate “Tipraland” demand!
“The IPFT alongwith Tipra Motha and some other like-minded parties will stage a demonstration in Delhi on November 14, demanding a separate state, Tipraland.”, said senior IPFT leader, Mangal Debbarma, yesterday.
“I have wanted unity amongst the Tiprasa.I appeal to all parties that we should unite for our cause of Greater Tipraland.”, reads a tweet by Royal Scion Pradyot Manikya, on Friday evening.
He added, “Names of parties, positions don’t matter as much as the future of our ppl. If required I am willing to step down as Chairman of Tipra Motha for the sake of unity.”
