ASSAM RIFLES: A FRIENDLY FORCE FOR THE PEOPLE

Emphasizing a commitment to the people of Manipur, Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), continues to stand as a friendly force ready to assist and engage with communities. Recent initiatives include:

Youth Empowerment: Career Guidance Workshop at Southeast Manipur College, Chandel district:

Assam Rifles conducted a one-day career guidance workshop at Southeast Manipur College. Organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, the event, sponsored by the Directorate of University & Higher Education, Government of Manipur, aimed at providing invaluable career insights to students.

The workshop featured an offline session by the Commander of Assam Rifles and online sessions by Makan Winkle Chothe (Indian Super League football player, Hyderabad FC) and  Wangkhem Jamuna Devi (Asia & World Championship Bronze medalist in Bodybuilding). These experts shared their knowledge and inspired students to make informed career choices.

Approximately 70 students, youths, and teachers benefiting in this initiative signifying a crucial step in guiding the youth of Chandel District towards the right career path.

Friendly Volleyball Match at Hengkot Village, Churachandpur:

Demonstrating a commitment to peace, Assam Rifles organized a Friendly Volleyball Match in Hengkot village, encouraging local youth to embrace sports and refrain from involvement in communal violence.

Security Meeting at Keithalmanbi Garrison, Imphal (West):

Assam Rifles hosted a security meeting at Keithalmanbi Garrison, fostering an open dialogue with villagers from surrounding areas, addressing security concerns, and ensuring a collaborative approach.

Assistance in First Phungrei Chungrungwon Football League, Ukhrul District:

Extending a helping hand, Assam Rifles supported the organization of the ‘First Phungrei Chungrungwon Football League’ in Ukhrul District, showcasing a commitment to community engagement and gratitude from the locals.
