In recent years, rapid urbanization has led to the widespread cutting down of trees to accommodate expanding infrastructure. This relentless deforestation has resulted in significant environmental degradation, affecting air quality, climate stability, and bio diversity. As trees are felled to make way for urban development, the ecological balance is disrupted, underscoring the urgent need for reforestation and conservation efforts.
To achieve this, a tree plantation drive was undertaken by Trishakti Warriors.
As part of the Ek Ped MaaKe Naam campaign by the Indian Army, the Tri Shakti Warriors undertook a plantation drive in the area of responsibility of the Corps. This will positively impact the ecology of both Sikkim and North Bengal.
This effort commenced with the planting of a sapling by GOC , Trishakti Corps and the Zonal President , AWWA.
