Assam Rifles organised a lecture on various schemes to join Armed Forces at Holy Spirit High School, Ukhrul District in Manipur on 21 September 2024.
The lecture covered essential topics such as eligibility criteria, professional growth and diverse avenues available within the armed forces. With service members sharing their personal experiences, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the commitment required and the rewards of a military career.
The session emphasized key qualities such as leadership, discipline, and teamwork, which are integral to success in the armed forces. Students participated actively, asking questions and expressing curiosity about the recruitment process, educational benefits and skill development offered by military service.
The event concluded with a statement noting that a career in the armed forces can provide not only personal growth but also the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on society.
ASSAM RIFLES UNDERTAKES ‘SWACHHATA HI SEVA’ CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN, UKHRUL, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles undertook ‘Swacchata Hi Seva’ cleanliness drive and clearance of blocked drainage system with the help of JCB at Tusom CV village, Ukhrul District, Manipur on 21 September 2024.
‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ is a cleanliness campaign launched every year starting from 15 September and ending on 02 October, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This campaign highlights innovative initiatives, cleanliness drives, and community engagement efforts that promote the message of ‘SWABHAV SWACHHATA, SANSKAR SWACCHATA’-instilling cleanliness as both a habit and a core value. By embracing the principle of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,’ the campaign seeks to encourage widespread public participation and reinforce the idea that sanitation is a collective responsibility.
Knowing the benefits of the same, Assam Rifles undertook the cleanliness drive and clearance of drainage system with the help of JCB at Tusom CV village, Ukhrul district in Manipur. The village authorities applauded the initiative and proposed to undertake similar drives in future.
