Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy Highlights AYUSH Ministry’s 100-Day Achievements

The Regional Research Institute for Homeopathy, under the AYUSH Ministry, organized an event today at Dispur Press Club to showcase the achievements of the AYUSH Ministry in the past 100 days.

In line with its commitment to public health, the institute has initiated several clinical research projects, including studies on allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, hypothyroidism, and piles, along with a focus on improving the health of tea garden workers in the Amchang area. Additionally, the institute has been conducting flagship programs like the drug proving and clinical verification programs of the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH). It has also set up a center for the detection and treatment of tuberculosis.

The institute operates outpatient departments for both mother and child care and general treatments on all working days. Affordable government-rate medicines, laboratory tests, and free consultations are provided, with Below Poverty Line (BPL) patients receiving free services and senior citizens benefitting from a 50% discount on registration fees.

A notable achievement of the institute is its success in spreading health awareness among various communities in Assam. Under its School Health Program and the Homeopathy for a Healthy Child program, the institute has made a significant impact. Central Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s launch of sanitation and nutrition awareness camps in Dibrugarh has further motivated this effort, addressing key issues like breastfeeding and child nutrition.

In the past 100 days, the institute has initiated 45 new clinical, basic, and drug standardization research studies. It has also collaborated with international institutions like the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. Over 150,000 patients have registered with the CCRH, and its webinars have reached over 16,000 global participants, highlighting the global outreach of homeopathic medicine.

Today’s event was chaired by Dr. Amulya Ratna Sahu, the institute’s in-charge, along with researchers Dr. Liyi Kharso and Dr. Monit.
