Metro Railway in association with Lions Clubs International organised Free Diabetes Awareness Camps at twenty Metro stations in Blue Line from Shyambazar to Shahid Khudiram for commuters on November 14, 2024, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.
A large number of Metro commuters responded by availing the opportunity and checked their blood sugar level free of cost in these camps.
Doctors of reputed city hospitals were present at different stations to conduct blood sugar tests. They checked blood sugar level of commuters who came to these camps and gave valuable advices to curb diabetes, the silent killer.
Posters were on display at all Metro stations and announcements were also made to encourage people to attend these camps.
