Eastern Command to Host “Glory Bike Ride” – Tribute to 1971 War

The Eastern Command of the Indian Army is all set to host the “Glory Bike Ride” on 24 November 2024 in the City of Joy, Kolkata. This unique initiative aims to honour the sacrifices of the valiant soldiers while spreading the message of patriotism across the city.

A total of 71 bike riders symbolizing the year of the historic victory in 1971 will participate in the rally. This includes riders from both the Indian Armed Forces and civil fraternity coming together to celebrate the spirit of courage and unity.

The ride will serve as a poignant reminder of the valour and dedication of the soldiers who upheld the sovereignty and dignity of the nation during one of its most historic military triumphs.

The “Glory Bike Ride” with remembrance, encouraging public engagement and fostering a spirit of patriotism. The event will conclude with a solemn ceremony at Vijay Smarak, Fort William, to honour the sacrifices of the bravehearts of 1971 war, reaffirming the nation’s gratitude and paying tribute to their unwavering courage and dedication.
