On the occasion of 53rd Vijay Diwas, a wreath laying was conducted at Vijay Smarak, Fort William, Kolkata today. In a dignified military ceremony, Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, Army Commander Eastern Command laid wreath at Vijay Smarak. He and all ranks present for the ceremony, paid heartfelt tributes to our Bravehearts on the occasion.
Dr CV Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal,Bangladesh delegations, Indian War Veterans, Officers of Indian Armed Forces and civil officials also paid tribute by laying wreaths in honour of the Brave hearts who made the supreme sacrifice in 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. 16th December marks the historic and resounding victory of the Indian Armed Forces & Mukti Jodhas in the Liberation War of 1971.
