Assam Rifles troops exhibited courage and presence of mind by swiftly responding to a LPG tanker accident near Don Bosco College girls hostel in Maram Bazar, Senapati district, Manipur on February 3, 2025.
The incident which occurred on National Highway No 2, resulted in a significant gas leak, posing significant threat to people living in nearby areas. Quicky responding to an alarming situation, Assam Rifles personnel with fire extinguishers rushed to the spot and isolated the area of gas leak. They halted traffic plying on both sides of the highway to safeguard commutors.
The troops thereafter carried out rapid evacuation of students of Don Bosco College hostels and guided them to a secure place.
The swift reaction by Assam Rifles troops thus averted a major tradegy and locals of the area expressed sincere gratitude for their timely intervention.
This life-saving effort underscores Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to safety and well-being of the people of Manipur.
