In a humanitarian gesture, Assam Rifles safely escorted a group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Borobekra Relief Camp to Jirighat in Jiribam district Manipur, thereby facilitating their access to essential medical and educational facilities.
A total of 12 individuals, including women, children, and elderly persons, many of whom have serious medical conditions were relocated to Jirighat, where they can continue with their medical treatment.
The initiative is part of Assam Rifles ongoing efforts to support the local administration in providing humanitarian assistance to IDPs affected by conflict in Manipur. The force has been actively engaged in various civic action programs, including medical camps, educational initiatives, and infrastructure development projects, aimed at ameliorating the conditions of the displaced people.
