BSF Organizes Free Medical Camp to Uplift Border Communities

The 143 Battalion of BSF South Bengal Frontier conducted a free medical camp at Hakimpur Sporting Club, Kalyani, on 3rd March 2025, to enhance healthcare access and well-being for the border community. The event was inaugurated by Shri Anam Saxena, Commandant, 143 Battalion BSF, in the presence of specialist doctors from AIIMS, BSF medical teams, local healthcare professionals, nursing staff, BSF jawans, and local villagers.

During the camp, a team of specialist doctors provided essential medical services, including blood pressure check-ups, ECG, dental and gynecological consultations, and free medicines to 431 patients. This initiative was aimed to address the healthcare needs of border villages, to ensure timely medical assistance and easy access to necessary medicines.

On this occasion, the Commandant of the 143rd Battalion reiterated BSF’s steadfast commitment, not only to ensure border security but also to enhance the well-being of border communities. The initiative received overwhelming appreciation from local villagers, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to BSF officers and the medical team for their dedicated efforts. They also expressed hope for the continued organization of such medical camps, which play a vital role in improving healthcare accessibility and delivering essential medical services to remote border areas.
