INDIAN ARMY MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION ON THE OCCASION OF 250 ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS DAY (1775-2025)

On the occasion of 250th Army Ordnance Corps Day, a Motorcycle Expedition has been organised by 222 ABOD, under aegis of 51 Sub Area and HQ Eastern Command (Ord), which is starting from Narangi Cantt and will culminate at CICG Delhi Cantt.

The Motorcycle Expedition will be traversing through various Stations enroute like Binnaguri, Bengdubi, Danapur, Rewa, Jhansi, Bharatpur and Mathura. The Motorcycle Expedition will serve as a tribute to the AOC’s enduring spirit, reflecting its adaptability and strength. On 26th March 2025, team of eight motorcyclist has embarked on this historic journey to commemorate this momentous occasion. These adventurers will traverse challenging routes covering a total of 2185 kms, symbolizing the unity and resilience of our armed forces.
Flag off ceremony for the motorcycle expedition in Narangi Cantt, Guwahati was conducted by Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command, adding a touch of grandeur to the expedition. The event was marked by the presence of senior officials, distinguished guests, Ex-servicemen and NCC Cadets who honoured the riders and the cause they represent.

In addition to the motorcycle journey, the expedition will feature the felicitation of Veer Naris and War Veterans, recognizing their sacrifices and unwavering support to the Indian Army. It will also raise awareness about the Army Ordnance Corps amongst the NCC Cadets and students as well as motivate them to join the India Army as an honourable career option.

The Motorcycle Expedition aims to showcase the crucial role played by the Army Ordnance Corps in providing logistic support to Indian Army since 1775. The Expedition will echo the journey of constant transformation of Army Ordnance Corps in equipping the Indian Army with changing dynamics of modern warfare.

As the riders traverse through the varied landscapes of the country, they will carry with them the stories of courage, sacrifice and patriotism. Their ride is not just a testament but a symbol of the enduring spirit of the Indian Army and Army Ordnance Corps.
