Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on World Dengue Day at Cornerstone School, Longja Village, Chandel District, Manipur on May 16, 2025.
The session, led by the health experts of Assam Rifles, was attended by 105 students and 10 teachers. The aim of the event was to raise awareness about dengue, its causes, symptoms and effective prevention strategies. It also highlighted the importance of cleanliness and community led sanitation efforts, especially in light of the upcoming monsoon season which increases the risk of mosquito borne diseases.
This initiative is part of the sustained efforts of Assam Rifles to promote health and hygiene in remote areas. The staff and students appreciated the informative session and lauded the force’s proactive role in community welfare.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN
Assam Rifles conducted an Awareness Programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Adullam Rehabilitation Centre, H Munnom Village, Moreh, Tengnoupal District on May 17, 2025.
The event was attended by 25 individuals undergoing rehabilitation and aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The programme began with an insightful lecture by Assam Rifles personnel, highlighting the severe impact of drug addiction on health, family and society. Participants received motivational guidance, encouraging them to lead lives of discipline, self-belief and social responsibility.
All attendees took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and contribute to a drug-free India, committing to inspire positive change in their communities.
