In a shocking turn of events, Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, has surrendered in Uttar Pradesh after being accused of orchestrating her husband’s murder.
The couple, residents of Indore, were on their honeymoon in Meghalaya when Raja was found dead under suspicious circumstances, and Sonam went missing.
Initially treated as a potential double homicide, the investigation revealed a disturbing conspiracy. Authorities now believe Sonam allegedly hired men to kill Raja. She is one of four individuals arrested in connection with the murder.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the apparent betrayal and the fact that the crime occurred during what should have been a celebratory time for the newlyweds.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma posted on X, “within 7 days a major breakthrough has been achieved by the Meghalaya Police in the Raja murder case 3 assailants who are from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, female has surrendered and operation still on to catch 1 more assailant .. well done Meghalaya Police.”
Further details are awaited as the investigation unfolds.
