Chief Minister Zoramthanga called on Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, who is on a two day visit to Mizoram, at Raj Bhavan . Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati was also present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister brought to attention the necessity for Mizoram to have separate All India Services cadre so as to ensure efficiency in administration. Mizoram has attained statehood for over 30 years.
Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu arrived in the forenoon today at Lengpui Airport. He was received by the Governor, as well as Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana and Rajya Sabha MP. Chief Secretary Smt. Renu Sharma, DGP D.C Srivastava, DGAR Brig. Digvijay Singh and Aizawl DC and SP were amongst the reception party at Lengpui. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Tawnluia received the Vice President at Raj Bhavan.
