Indian Football Association nominated Indian football legend Sunil Chhetri’s name has been recommended for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awards this year.
Chhetri has played 118 for India and 74 goals.
Chhetri also received Padma Shri in 2019 and the Arjuna Award in 2011.
Women footballer from Manipur Bala Devi’s names recommended for Arjuna Award.
Bala Devi, who is currently playing for Rangers in the Scottish Women’s Premier League,
Bala Devi creates history, signs for Scottish Club Rangers FC. Bala will become the first Indian woman’s footballer to be given the opportunity to play professionally outside India.
