West Bengal BJP MP and former Union Minister Babul Supriyo finally quit politics, makes an announcement through his Facebook page.
Supriyo writes his Facebook post resigning from my MP-ship too (obviously). In 2014 he won Asansol’s seat of West Bengal with his own popularity without any alliance with any party.
Supriyo also writes, BJP leader S S Ahluwalia – GJM was BJP’s ally in the Darjeeling seat.”If you want to do social work, you can do it without being in politics…let’s organise myself a little first and then…”
Earlier this month, he was replaced as Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change.
