Subal Bhowmik, who has been associated with the BJP last Assembly election which was held in 2018. He joining Trinamool on July 29.

A new political party was announced in Tripura under the leadership of Biswas and they were ready to challenge the BJP led government in Tripura.
The new political party – Tripura Democratic Front was announced by former state Congress president Pijush Biswas, who along with ex-vice president Tapas Dey and former youth Congress president Pujan Biswas quit the party earlier this week.
The new political party TDF was announced to support the political platform led by Tripura royal scion and former Tripura Congress chief Pradyot Manikya Debbarman.
