Senior Advocate and former Assam Minister Abdul Muhib Mazumder Passes away in Guwahati at 8.45 A.M.
He was 90 at the time of death.
He was undergoing treatment in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) since September.
Born in Hailakandi town on 20 August 1932.
He was elected as MLA from Hailakandi Constituency of Assam 1983-1991,1996 and 2011 and was also cabinet minister of Assam.
He was the main architect of the IMDT Act.
His father Abdul Matlib Mazumder was a freedom fighter.
His mortal remains will be taken to his Hatigaon residence from GMCH and his last rites will be performed today itself.
