On 14th December, 2021, under South Bengal Frontier, troops of Border Out Post Bistoganj, 84 Battalion organized a free medical camp for the needy people living on the border. This camp was organized from 0930 in the morning to 1520 in the border area of Sector Baharampur. Dr. Basudeb Mandal and Dr. Ramchandra Murmu (Tehata Civil Hospital) were also present on the occasion.
During this programme about 450 villagers from nearby villages like Bistoganj, Jeetpur, Sheshkhali, Khedramath, and Betai came to the camp for treatment. This included men and women as well as children. Free treatment and medicines were distributed to all by the Border Security Force. Along with this, school bags were also given to the students. The headmen and members of the nearby villages were also present in this camp, who made people aware of the camp.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camp and urged to organize more and more such camps in future.
The Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier highly praised to troops of 84 Battalion and civil doctors for organizing the medical camp. He stated that such programmes create a good image of the force and inculcate a sense of security among the citizens. He also said that such programmes will continue to be organized in the border villages in future also.
