BSF has always been doing to develop a good mindset and mutual trust of the Border Security Force in the minds of the people in its border area. BSF has been making every effort for the welfare of the border residents, for which it has been encouraging sports from time to time by providing free medical camps to the needy people and sports goods to the youth.

On 22 December, 2021 from 1300 to 1705 hrs, the troops of Border Out Post Bistoganj, 84 Battalion, Sector Headquarters Behrampore, organized a Civic Action Program. In which the villagers of Bistoganj, Shahpur and South Jeetpur villages took part enthusiastically. This included men and women as well as children. In order to make the youths more and more aware about sports, sports itmes like volleyball, badminton, football, carrom board etc. were distributed in the camp. During this, a sports competition was also organized between the team of Bistoganj and Shahpur village to increase the interest of the youth towards sports. By encouraging the players who performed well, their morale was also boosted. Village Head and members were also present in this camp.
On the other hand, on December 22, 2021, a free medical camp was organized by the BSF for the welfare of the border residents of Border Out Post Pirojpur, 78 Battalion under Sector Maldal, in which about 600 villagers including women, men and children from all the surrounding villages also participated whose free treatment was done by Border Security Force and civil doctor along with free medicines were also distributed.
On this program, Sh. Sudhir Hooda, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Malda, was present on the spot. He stated that such welfare programs for border residents would be organized from time to time in future also.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camp and urged to organize more and more such camps in future.
The program was highly praised in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier. He stated that such programs create a good image of the BSF and inculcate a sense of security among the citizens. He stated that such programs would be organized in future also to increase the interest of the youth of border villages towards education and sports. He inspired the children to become a good citizen by reading and writing and also inspired them to raise the name of the country by performing well in sports.
