A Loco Pilot of the Rangiya division breathed his last at Guwahati Railway Station. This incident happened on January 18 at around 19:40 hours while train No.15613 Guwahati – Murkongselek Lachit Express was standing at platform No.7. On-duty Loco Pilot of the train, Shri Siba Saikia from Rangapara North, while conducting the loco check, unfortunately, got electrocuted.
Immediately after the incident, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP) and Doctors rushed to the incident site and found him to be in state of death.
Later, the body of the deceased was handed over to GRP officials of Guwahati station for further course of action. His body was taken to Guwahati Medical College where after post mortem; his body will be taken to Barpathar (Golaghat, Assam) from where he belonged.
All help to his family members will be extended from the Railways side. The Chief Public Relations Officer of N F Railway Guneet Kaur informed it media.
