Former President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Ripun Bora has quit the party and joined All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) today. Bora is a senior politician from Northeast.

He joined the party in presence of National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee.” Extending a very warm welcome to Shri Ripun Bora, a stalwart and skilled politician, who joined the All India Trinamool Congress family today.”, reads a tweet by Banerjee today evening.

He adds, “We are extremely pleased to have you onboard and look forward to working together for the well-being of our people!” Attached pictures show Bora’s wife and son also joining Trinamool today.
