On April 27, 2022, 01 Bangladeshi teenager was detained by the jawans in the area of Ghojadanga, a Border Out Post of 153 Bn Border Security Force in the South Bengal Frontier, at 1230 hrs from Ghosh Parking on the International Border. The apprehended Bangladeshi minor has been identified as Rabikul Hasan Ghazi, age 12, Village – Dakkhin Alipore, District – Satkhira (Bangladesh).
During preliminary questioning, Bangladeshi teenager told that he works as a laborer in Bhumra (Bangladesh). Yesterday, he slept on the roof of the cabin under a tarpaulin in an Indian empty truck at night and when he woke up in the morning, he found himself in India. After coming to Indian territory, he had no idea what to do. After this, when he felt hungry, he started roaming in the Ghojadanga truck parking area in search of food, then BSF took him into its custody for questioning.
After received information from the Bangladeshi teenager, the BSF handed over the Border Guard Bangladesh on humanitarian grounds due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill gesture of the Border Guarding Force of both the countries.
Jawahar Singh Negi, Commanding Officer, 153 Bn BSF told that our jawans keep a close watch on illegal infiltration along the International Border as well as those who violate the border in any way. He stated that the apprehended Bangladeshi national had no prior criminal history or any record of crossing the border illegally, Hence, he was handed over to BGB, Bangladesh on humanitarian grounds.
