On 27 April 2022, the jawans of Digalkandi, the border outpost of the 86th Battalion, posted on the border of the Sector headquarters Behrampur under the South Bengal Frontier, organized a drug-free India campaign under which an cessation was made by the jawans not to take drugs and the far-reaching consequences of intoxication on health were also made aware. Awareness was spread through banners and sign boards in their hands, in which messages about the ill-effects of drugs were displayed. Old people, children and youths of the village were all involved in this awareness campaign.
The Commanding Officer of the 86th Bn BSF stated that the Border Security Force continues to organize such programe in the border areas and their brave Jawans complete this task with full dedication.
