Northeast celebrates National Doctors’ Day, tributes to the medical fraternity!

The Northeastern states of India celebrate Doctors’ Day today, alongwith the rest of the nation. The contribution of our doctors towards individual and public health has been immense over the years now.

Doctors are indeed an integral part of society and play a vital role in our lives. They devote themselves to the service of others, staying true to their oath, dedicating themselves to their duty regardless of the challenges.

National Doctors Day has been observed in India since 1991 in honor of the second Chief Minister of West Bengal Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy for his unparalleled contribution to society. The day provides us the opportunity to thank the doctors who work tirelessly with utmost dedication. Their efforts must be commended to encourage and motivate them to tread pridefully on the path of service to society.
