Dhubri: Special rally with 75 boats mark 75 years of Indian independence on Saturday

The district administration of Dhubri in Assam initiated a special boat rally on Saturday in line With Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, and displayed patriotic spirits ahead of independence day tomorrow.

Seventy five boats were decorated with tricolor flags and tiranga, further floating from Kacharighat to Chalakura Char to carry forward the spirit of patriotism, as India takes up “Har Ghar Tiranga” as a mark of tribute upon the call of PM Narendra Modi and supported by state governments.

“Being far does not mean being far from the heart DC and SP Dhubri along with BSF officials crossed International Border fencing to visit the remotest Indian village Bhogdanga surrounded by Bangladesh from 3 sides to spread the message of Har Ghar Tiranga.”, reads a tweet by Dhubri Police today morning with attached photos.

It may be mentioned that, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it’s people and culture; following the call of PM Narendra Modi for the same.

“Like the history of the freedom movement, the journey of 75 years after independence is a reflection of the hard work, innovation, enterprise of ordinary Indians. Whether in the country or abroad, we Indians have proved ourselves with our hard work.”, reads an official message by PM Modi on the momentous occasion.

It adds,” We are proud of our Constitution. We are proud of our democratic traditions. The mother of democracy, India is still moving forward by strengthening democracy. India, rich in knowledge and science, is leaving its mark from Mars to the moon.”
