Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri Kiren Rijiju today visited the construction site of the second Kalia Bhomora Bridge over the Brahmaputra. The Minister was accompanied by MP Shri Kamakhya Prasad Tasa.
Visiting the site Shri Rijiju said that this bridge will play a very important role in the connectivity between the two banks of Brahmaputra and will be very beneficial for the people of Assam. Expressing his happiness Shri Rijiju informed that the construction of the bridge is almost completed and will be inaugurated soon. The second Kolia Bhomora bridge which connects Sonitpur on the North bank with Nagaon on the south bank is around 3 km long.
Kiren Rijiju also visited the historic Bharali Namghar in Kaliabar today.
